Lovely campground, rustic, small. Great beach area and lots of exploring!

Excellent views, beautiful old forests, and oceanside breezes would make this special, but let's face it, ALL of Gabriola Island is this awesome. Kayak launch spot with picnic area and campground feel summery all year round. Easy access to village area and beaches. Great first stop on this island. Bring your picnic basket!

downside, you can still hear nanaimo and the ferry traffic drive by. you aren’t quite excluded from society as i was hoping to be. also the view from the bay is nanaimo, which i don’t think is the most enjoyable. also garbage area was torn apart by animals.

Nice quiet campground with easy access to a sheltered inlet. Perfect for swimming or kayaking.

camping here in november was pretty solid. washrooms were in suprisingly good shape, although the garbage area was a mess. checking in was confusing as there was nobody there, and no clear instructions on what forms to fill out. i just wrote my name, license plate dates i’ll be there and phone number on a piece of paper and dropped it along with my money into a box. only 6 camp sites were opened for the winter, and only 1 other was taken. the park itself is nice, with some trails and a nice bay. i have heard of people mentioning mice at this campsite, but i didn’t come across any form of wildlife.

It's a beautiful park to wander around in and explore. The camping is very rustic, the sites a bit dusty (no gravel to keep the dust down), but overall a great experience. Amazing place to watch the sunset!
